Okay, so I decided to read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand because of 2 reasons.
1. My dad loves her books, so I thought I should give them a try.
2. I love books. A lot.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was weird and exciting.
It made me think. I love books that question my ideals or put a new idea into perspective for me.
I can't believe it's over and at the same time I'm relieved. It's like V for Vendetta for me. I don't think I'll be able to handle similar types of literature all the time because I would just become paranoid and afraid. However, the emotional impacts she delivers by using love in such a broken world elevates the burden off of the reader's shoulders a little.
I highly recommend this book but I warn you that you won't agree with all of it.
I agree with most of it but I am not quite as adamant nor as extreme as Ms Rand is.
Add it to your long term reads if you enjoy politics and internal conflict.
